Hall for Cornwall is Cornwall’s largest venue where shows are presentations are made, attracting about 180,000 theatre-goers each year. The Hall of Cornwall rose from the ruins and surfaced above countless controversies in the mid 1980’s. It was in such a state of decay when reconstruction started in 1991. The roofs leaked badly, floors were rotten, paints were peeling and everything threatened to come crashing down any minute. The reconstruction took over 18 months and the newly reconstructed Hall of Cornwall was inaugurated in November 15, 1997.

With its sad history, the Hall of Cornwall has indeed risen and is now one of the main attractions of Cornwall. The Hall of Cornwall now boasts of modern facilities like a coffee shop where you can spend a leisurely time over a cup of coffee or lunch, or catch up on the latest news with friends, munching on your favorite salad or freshly made baguette, homemade cakes and flapjacks and other choices.

The Stars, the theatre restaurant offers visitors lunch with a wide choice of dishes in its menu to choose from. The Star converts into a bar at night where guests can enjoy platters and drinks before a show. HfC’s bar, the Trelawney Bar is another option which offers a wide choice of drinks to enjoy before, during or after a show.

The Hall of Cornwall also boasts of three suitable rooms for hire that can accommodate up to 70 people. The rooms can be used for meetings, shows and receptions, rehearsals or just a get together party. You should make an advanced booking to check about rates, availability of rooms and other arrangements.
