Bodmin

Bodmin, one of the oldest towns in Cornwall and its history can be traced all the way back to the 6th century. Located on the edge of the Bodmin Moors, this lovely Cornish town is a veritable treasure of beautiful architecture and history. Bodmin is ideal for a weekend getaway or a day trip. Located between some of Cornwall’s most famous historic houses, Bodmin also has two museums in the town; the Bodmin Town Museum and the Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry Regimental Museum, located in the former regimental barracks. St. Petroc's Church is one of Bodmin’s main attractions. This church is the largest Parish Church in Cornwall. You can also visit the once notorious Bodmin Jail. Visitors can visit the infamous site of numerous public hangings and see the tiny cells in which prisoners were confined.

Boscastle

A lovely harbour village in Cornwall, Boscastle is the perfect weekend getaway. Visitors to Boscastle can take leisurely walks in the scenic woods surrounding the area, or take in the stunning view of the lovely Cornish coastline. The village is dotted with beautiful whitewashed cottages that add to the old world charm of the town.
Boscastle also boasts the unique museum of witchcraft. This museum has one of the largest collections of witchcraft related artefacts in the world. Visitors to Boscastle can also visit the Bottreau Castle, which is located at the top of the village. This scenic village in Cornwall is very popular among nature lovers for its wildlife and spectacular geology.

Bude

An extremely popular seaside resort in Cornwall, Bude has managed to retain its charm and unspoilt beauty. With many good restaurants and bars in town, Bude is a great destination for a weekend or even a longer holiday.
The unique Sea Lock Canal in Bude is one of the major attractions of the area. Bude also boasts of a number of excellent beaches, which are good for bathing as well as surfing. With a beautiful heritage coastline and good museums, Bude also has a thriving cultural scene. This town in Cornwall hosts countless events like theatre, concerts, dance shows etc. A major attraction is the Cornish Furry dance, which is held every week, and an eight day jazz festival.

Callington

Once an old mining town in Cornwall, Callington is an excellent destination to spend a leisurely weekend. A walk up to the old mining stack Kit Hill gives the visitor a spectacular view of the Bodmin Moor. This hill at Callington has now been developed as a tourist destination and now boasts of some great picnic sites and walking trails.
Callington is different from most villages in Cornwall because of its unique mural project. Visitors are greeted by walls painted with colorful murals all across the town. These murals give the town a unique cultural identity. The St. Marys Church, built in the 15th century is also an attraction for visitors to Callington.

Coverack

Coverack in Cornwall is an attractive village on the east coast of the Lizard Peninsula. Tales of smugglers and many a shipwreck have been interwoven into the folklore of Coverack adding to its enigma. In fact, the Paris Hotel located on the quay has been named after the American ship, the Paris, which sank near Coverack in 1899. All the crew and passengers on the Paris were rescued.
Coverack also houses the St Peter's church, a lovely red brick and granite structure, which was built in 1885. The church, which overlooks the sea, boasts beautiful stained glass windows. Crackington

Crackington is a wonderful holiday destination for families. Falmouth

Surrounded by spectacular beaches, this mesmerizing town is lined with old pubs, which also serve delicious culinary delights and occasional live music. Many of the prominent hotels occupy the sandy stretches near the beach. Theatre and art lovers have plenty to savour in this part of Cornwall at The Falmouth Arts Centre and the Princess Pavilion. Jacob’s Ladder with its 111 stone steps is a treat for exercise lovers! Regular exhibitions are held at a local art school in Falmouth.
