The Idle Rocks Hotel - St Mawes, Cornwall
hotels | st-mawes

The location of The Idle Rocks hotel is picture perfect. In the heart of St Mawes, "capital" of the Roseland Peninsular, The Rocks, as it is affectionately known, offers guests a fabulous setting with wonderful views, comfortable rooms all individually decorated, superb dining, good hospitality and space to relax and de-stress.
The Idle Rocks Hotel sits on the edge of St Mawes' harbour wall - it isn't possible to get any closer to the water unless you are on it!
The view from the hotel is the Cornish dream brought to life: a small, idyllic harbour, narrow lanes of tidy fisherman's cottages, green fields that slope down to the sea and lovely sandy beaches.
The Idle Rocks is a luxury hotel in Cornwall with a long standing reputation for good food. The hotel's Water's Edge restaurant, with its magnificent water views, has held 2 AA Rosettes for more than 15 years. The range of activities and days out that can be enjoyed is varied though it is perfectly acceptable - de riguer with many - to simply do nothing but relax and be happy in the beauty that surrounds you.
The Idle Rocks is a good base for visiting the southern part of Cornwall. It is surprisingly accessible to a number of key attractions and recommended places to visit and the nice thing is that a car isn't mandatory once you're here. Water transport is a pleasant means of travel around here and a novel way to visit Truro, Falmouth, Cornish gardens such as Trellisick, Glendurgan and Trebah or simply to take a different coastal walk and tuck into lunch at a gastro pub along the Fal river.
