The China Loft - st-austell

The China Loft is a two-bedroom, two bathroom flat on the first floor of a converted and rebuilt China clay drying house on the Eastern outskirts of St Austell, two miles from The Eden Project.
Although it is nearly brand new, it has bags of character, with floor-to-ceiling windows to make the most of wonderful sweeping sea views across St Austell Bay. It also comes with its own parking space. The main bedroom is carpeted in pale honey beige and has an en-suite shower room. There is also a separate bathroom. The carpeted second bedroom has a bunk bed with a 4 ft wide lower bunk, and a 3 ft upper bunk.

The through living/dining room/kitchen has an oak laminate floor with underfloor heating. A range of cream kitchen cupboards conceal a dishwasher, washer/drier, tall fridge/freezer, and has a built in brushed steel double oven and ceramic hob.
Nearby a table to seat six extends if required. The living area has two comfy black leather sofas, a large T.V. and a DVD, display shelving, two lamps, and further storage space.

The China Loft has quick, easy access to both North and South coasts. The lovely Georgian harbour of Charlestown, with its tall ships, character pubs, and beach is about two miles to the south, there are spectacular walks along the south west coastal path, and lovely beach walks on the north coast.

There is loads to see, from Padstow, where Rock Stein’s eateries multiply, and pretty Port Isaac, where the TV series Doc Martin is filmed, to the Tate Gallery at St Ives, St Michaels’s Mount, near Penzance. Wonderful walks abound on Bodmin Moor, and various Cornish National Trust treasures await rediscovery. Quick access to the A30, about six miles to the north, makes the China Loft an excellent base for touring Cornwall.
There is a mini-market type shop, a butcher’s, and a Post Office about three minutes’ walk from the property, and two pubs: The William Cookworthy, and The Carclaze are about ten minutes' walk from the flat. The Kings Head at Luxulyan, about two miles' drive, offers good pub food (there's a lovely woodland walk here, too), Charlestown has pubs and restaurants, and Fowey is not to be missed with its 26 pubs, restaurants, and cafes. The famous Carlyon Bay Hotel is about 2 miles away, and several places to eat in pretty Charlestown, a five minute drive away. The Ship at Par Sands (about 2 miles away) offers excellent value food. One of our favourites is the Rasheleigh Inn, right on the beach that fringes the miniature harbour at Polkerris.
