Visiting the displays at the Charlestown Shipwreck Center takes you back years and years ago to the village life in Charlestown. The museum reflects the life in Charleston, its history, and the China clay industry. The exhibition also shows artefacts and countless items from 150 shipwrecks dating back to 1715. Charlestown Shipwreck Center is also one of the largest collections of underwater diving equipment in the country.

This is the best place to view collections of the past like coins, paraphernalia, and other memorabilia of the town’s past. You can take home maritime souvenirs and coins as memento of your visit to Charlestown Shipwreck Center by buying from the well stocked shop. You can also pick up treasures for kids to take home like Cornish gifts, fudge, books or cards.

Getting hungry when you are at the Charlestown Shipwreck Center is no cause to worry because Bosuns Diner is just very near. It is an ideal place to stop for a cup of tea, snacks or a full meal after your visit to the museum. Facilities for wheelchair users is also available in the area. Charlestown Shipwreck Center is open from March 1 to October 31 at 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Admission is £5-95 for adults, £3-95 for students and disabled, £3-95 for senior citizens, and £2-95 for a paying child. Children under 10 years old are free of admission if accompanied by a paying adult. Special rates for educational parties and groups are also available by prior arrangement.
