You can enjoy a lovely walk to the St Agnes Beacon. Plenty of scampering wild rabbits, crying sea-gulls and colorful flittering butterflies will greet you. You can also enjoy the efflorescence of wild flowers blossoming defiantly amongst the grey rocks.
A long time ago, fires were lit on the Beacon to alert the villagers of impending dangers. In the sixteenth century, the Beacon was also a part of the link-line of warning fires that communicated news of the approaching Armada. The vista from the St. Agnes Beacon is spectacular. The panorama of sea, sky, cliffs and village is definitely arresting!

St. Agnes was originally a mining and fishing community. At the St. Agnes Parish Museum you can relive the lifestyle, culture and traditions of the Cornish tin & copper miners and fishing folk. The museum is also a “natural history display” – a wonderful collection of films, photographs and specimens to help you get familiar with the local landscape. You can also get to meet their star attraction - a 700lb leatherback turtle!
