Tehidy Country Park
Tehidy Country Park is 250 acres of pure woodland magic! Ancient Ash, Alder, Oak, Beech, Sycamore, Birch, Japanese maple, Conifers and Chestnut trees stands tall and magnificent in this green glen. And Holly, Hazelnuts, Daffodils, Bluebells, Rhododendrons, Wild Garlic and beautiful ferns, play peek-a-boo between their old trunks.
Badgers, squirrels and rabbits scamper around. And graceful swans and quacking ducks glide in the lovely ponds. The park is home for hundreds of birds and youll have wonderful time spotting their endearing nests.
You can also hire horse-rides and rent out bicycles to go around this fabulous park. Tehidy Country Park is a beautiful natural haven that just shouldnt be missed!
This sixteenth-century cottage is a haunt of mystery and intrigue. This little cottage sits close to the beach and is said to be the home of the smugglers who thrived in the olde days. In 1950, when the cottage was being altered, a secret room was discovered. The room was hiding a rusting sword, an old sea-chest and a human skeleton, sitting on a table!
The locals will tell you fascinating tales of the ghost of a young man, who emerges from the wood panelling on the first floor, and disappears near the staircase!
