Carruan Farm

Carruan Farm is a family-friendly destination, offering something for each member of the family.
Guests can visit the play area and farmyard. The farm aims to show visitors how livestock is being cared for in the countryside.

When you visit Carruan Farm, you can join tours on the tractor & trailer. You can also have the chance to get to know the animals, taste the home-cooked food in the farm’s licensed farmhouse kitchen, and buy meat and dairy products produced on the farm. You can also buy wine, local beer and cider. The good news is that even if you cannot visit the Carruan Farm, you can still buy fresh beef and lamb as they do deliveries by courier.

Many activities are available at the Carruan Farm. Something is always going on for everybody in your family. You can have firsthand experience in farming and food production, help feed lambs, join family barbeque with storytellers, enjoy music, games, or taste the mouth-watering local food in a relaxed atmosphere in the farmhouse kitchen. Kids can experience a close interaction with the sheep flock with its 950 ewes, all of the same Poll Dorset breed. This is something they cannot experience in the city.

Carruan farm won the 2007 Cornwall Otter Trophy awarded by FWAG (Farming & Wildlife Advisory Group) FWAG for their good commercial farming practices. Carruan farm opens at 8.00 am to 8.30 pm daily. Admission is free so you can pop in anytime to see the daily goings-on at the farm.
