Blue Reef Aquarium

Showcasing regular talks, feeding demonstrations and over 30 living displays of tropical reef to attract tourists, the Blue Reef Aquarium is one place nature lovers should not miss when visiting Cornwall. Feast your eyes on the reef with its 250,000 liter display which houses black and white tip reef sharks, stingrays, giant groupers, moray eels and the spectacular sight of hundreds of bright colored reef fish.
Blue Reef Aquarium is your chance to see the underwater world at its best without getting wet. View strange and frightening sea creatures like stinging jellyfish and giant Pacific octopus through the display windows. A visit to the Blue Reef Aquarium allows a visitor to experience viewing the reef from the surface and through a walkthrough tunnel, so you don’t have to be a diver to view the fantastic creatures that live underwater.
Blue Reef Aquarium is a family-friendly tourist attraction which provides multi-level viewing, allowing children and disabled persons to have a good view of the exhibits. They also have facilities to eat or for warming food. If you haven’t brought food with you on a visit, there is no need to worry because the Blue Reef Cafe offers has a wide selection of drinks, snacks and meals available for you to choose from. This is also your chance to taste what Blue Reef has to offer.
Don’t go home without bringing mementos of your visit. You can choose from among the wide range of souvenirs like cards, posters, educational toys and others. Blue Reef Aquarium is open daily the whole year from 10 a.m. except on Christmas day. Please contact 01637 878134 for more details.
