Wild Acres Cottage

Tregothnan Wild Escapes are properties in unique locations around Cornwall. All properties have been recently refurbished and offer the perfect escapes from everyday life! Wild Escapes are often in remote locations and although superbly presented, do not offer a wealth of facilities, so please do not washing machines, dishwashers etc and access to properties might be on gravel roads which might be uneven. What you can expect is a peaceful holiday in superb surroundings (which maybe a little wild) where you can relax and experience the best of Cornwall.

Hidden away on a remote tract of the Lizard Peninsula overlooking Kennack Sands, Wild Acres is a unique five bedroom detached property, located just 100 yards from the beach and with splendid 180 degree sea views. The property has been recently refurbished inside by the Owners, the Tregothnan Estate and now offers a taste of luxury, whilst being positioned along some of the wildest coastline in Cornwall!

Wild Acres is one of those places in Cornwall you just dream about finding! It will take you time to get there, as it is close to the most southerly point in Britain. It is a 10 minute drive from the nearest village, positioned high above the stunning bay and is surrounded by wild heathland. The rambling and exotically wild garden is great for children to discover, with private gated access to the South West Coastal Path. The golden Kennack sands with their light surf and clear rock pools are a great playground for young & old.

Wild Acres is made up of 2 properties - Wild Acres Cottage sleeping 10 and Wild Acres Studio sleeping 2 adults and 2 children. The 2 properties are about 50 yards from each other on the same site and can be used together for parties of up to 14 people.

Accommodation
Ground Floor: The front entrance leads into the conservatory with its fabulous views over the bay. There is a large dining room with open fire, a separate lounge with open fire, 2 large double bedrooms, a twin room, a family bathroom with WC, a shower room, a further separate WC, store room & large kitchen with table.
First Floor: There is a double bedroom & a bunk bedded room.

Facilities & Services
The kitchen is nicely fitted & has a fridge with freezer, microwave and Belfast sink, but there is no washing machine & no dishwasher. The property does benefit from WiFi, so please feel free to take your laptop! Heating is via central heating powered via one of the woodburners with convection heaters in the bedrooms. There is a woodburning stove in kitchen and in the lounge. There is a TV & DVD player in the lounge. There is an iron & ironing board.

Miscellaneous
Electricity, bed linen & towels are all included, but you will need to bring your own beach towels. Wood is supplied for the woodburing stoves. There is parking available at Wild Acres, but please do bear in mind that access is via an unmade road. The road has been graded for 2011 and so all makes of cars can access the property. Up to 2 well behaved dogs are welcome at a small additional charge. We regret no smoking is permitted. A welcome pack is provided in the cottage for your arrival, but also available as an extra is a very special hamper selection of Tregothnan produce including Kea plum jam, honey, Tregothnan tea & chocolates. There is a cot & high chair available.

Short breaks are available during quieter periods.
£100 pre-authorised to your credit or debit card as a security deposit is required.
A discount of 20% is available to a couple booking outside the peak season.
