Fowey (pronounced to rhyme with “boy”), is home to a small sheltered cove and a pretty private beach. The Readymoney cove at Fowey is backed by jagged craggy cliffs, which have stood tall for centuries.
You can luxuriate in the soft sun-kissed sands and absorb the warmth of the golden sun. And children will love playing with their buckets-n-spades, and the gentle sand is just perfect for building sand-castles.

One important heritage structure in Fowey is the stately St. Catherines Castle. This sixteenth century castle was built by Henry VIII, to serve as an artillery unit against the then invading French.
