The hurling of the silver ball in St Ives involves.. well.. the hurling of a silver ball through St Ives!

Its one of the more quirkier events on the Cornish Calender, but a charm to watch all the same. Normally theres a good turn out of St Ives residents, visitors, and others from around the Area. The 'hurling' also takes place in St Columb on Shrove Tuesday.

It isn't Much Ado About Nothing when I tell you that The Festival Players Theatre Company is going to adopt an all-male cast for one of Shakespeare's brilliant plays that features the most challenging female protagonist, Beatrice. Yes, that's right. Coming to Cornwall on the very first day of July is Much Ado About Nothing. The play has songs written by Johnny Coppin, the great folk musician.

Jack Cassidy is sure to do justice to his role in the play, and we sure hope to catch you there at Boconnoc when the gates open at 6 pm to see Jack together.
