The hurling of the silver ball in St Ives involves.. well.. the hurling of a silver ball through St Ives!

Its one of the more quirkier events on the Cornish Calender, but a charm to watch all the same. Normally theres a good turn out of St Ives residents, visitors, and others from around the Area. The 'hurling' also takes place in St Columb on Shrove Tuesday.

Ahh! Another date worthy of an entry in your calender is for the CAMRA beer festival event, this year taking place in Bodmin.
As most will know CAMRA (Campaign for real ales) organise fantastic events amongst other things, and offer you the opportunity to go along and sample some fine beers both regional and national.
