Tank Driving

Some of the vehicles in the collection can be driven by you. We can also provide rides for those who do not wish to drive themselves. These include, the GKN Fv 432 ( a 14 tonne tracked armored personnel carrier ) or for the ultimate tank driving experience a 55 tonne Chieftain main battle tank, the mainstay of the British Army from 1965 - 1995.

All tank driving experiences are with an experienced instructor and are on a one to one basis. You are welcome to bring spectators and indeed on some vehicles there may be an opportunity to carry passengers. All experiences admit 2 persons to the museum and include 2 complimentary drinks on arrival. Additional passengers / spectators pay the usual museum admission fee.
