Bodmin and Wenford Railway - bodmin

A branch of the original branch line dating back to the 1950’s, the Bodmin and Wenford railway provides you an enjoyable 13-mile trip passing through steeply graded lines and a view of the scenic countryside.

It is just like going back to the 1950’s where locomotive trains are popular as a means of transportation. The trip involves going around the Boscarne Junction providing a direct link with the "Camel Trail", going through the cycle and footpath running to Padstow along the route of the old Bodmin & Wadebridge Railway.

The trains operate daily from March to December to accommodate tourists and passengers, and there are lots of planned events to make the ride more enjoyable.
Complete your ride of the Bodmin & Wenford Railway by taking home mementos from the souvenir shop in Bodmin. Refreshments are also available in the restored station buildings

One special feature you should not miss on your train ride is the three-course romantic meal aboard the Luxury Dining Train. You could choose from a wide variety of mouth-watering dishes from the menu. Feel the unique ambiance of a meal in one of the two First Class Dining Coaches. Each coach can accommodate up to 36 persons.

Advanced booking is required when you want to avail of the Dining Train. Luncheon trains are also available. You should check the dates and the menu. Boarding the Bodmin & Wenford railway is an experience that gives you the best of both worlds, going back in time decades ago yet partaking of sumptuous meals from today’s most popular menu.
