Pencarrow House and Gardens

Make your wedding unforgettable at Pencarrow. Whether you opt for a formal or informal celebration, it is up to you to decide. You can exchange I Do’s in any of the four rooms of the Georgian house or in the midst of colorful blooms in the garden. A mile-long carriage drive makes your wedding more memorable as you make a grand entrance to your reception. You can have the whole garden for your wedding but if you choose a wedding during the winter, you can still hold the reception inside the Pencarrow House.

The Pencarrow Gardens is pet friendly so you can bring your pets to romp on the grounds with your children. You can enjoy a cup of tea and a heavenly slice of cake from the Peacock Café. The café is one of the original 17th century cottages which can seat 60 people. Outside the café, a lawn equipped with tables, chairs and sunshades is available for guests to use. Pencarrow House sees to it that all teas and lunches ordered are freshly prepared. This is your chance to sample genuine Cornish food wherever possible.

The guided house tour takes in 11 rooms, including the music room, drawing room, the Pink Bedroom, dining room, inner hall, and boudoir. Going through the different rooms is just like peeking into the lives of people who lived in the house years and years before. The Pencarrow House and Gardens is open to the public daily at 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. from March to late October. Admission fee to the house and garden for adults is £8.00, and £4.00 for a garden tour only.
