Cornish Aviation Limited operate the Ikarus C42. Although classed as a Microlight, it is more like a traditional light aeroplane in terms of safety, performance and passenger comfort; it even comes with a cabin heater! For the technically minded, more detailed information is given below.
Cornish Aviation Limited operate a microlight flying school under the auspices of Cornwall Flying Club at Bodmin Airport, where there are excellent facilities - both training and social. It is a legal requirement that students join the club. Microlight flight training is available from ab initio (no previous experience) right up to the General Flying Test and licence qualification; click the 'Licence' button to see what is involved. At present there is no spare hangar capacity at Bodmin so all training is currently carried out on school aircraft.
