Touring in Cornwall
Cornwall is a very laid back area to travel to and one of the greatest pleasures that tourists have is simply strolling along the gorgeous footpaths on the coastline. The cliff tops are over flowing with many kinds of wild flowers which makes this area very pleasurable to the eyes and the senses. There are many other wonders available to you as well as deserted coves.
If you happen to be a surfer then Cornwall offers you some of the best riding waves in all of the United Kingdom. With wet suit technology improving in leaps and bounds over the years you can now surf in the Atlantic all year round when before you had to limit the surfing to the summer months or be threatened with freezing to death.
Following are just a few of the more popular tourist activities:
Climbing offers the truly adventurous spirit a chance to become one with Cornwall’s cliffy landscape. You can climb to tremendous heights on granite cliffs as well as picturesque island sites. Cornwall is the official home of sea-cliff climbing and has rock faces for all levels of experience.
If keeping your feet planted on dirt isn’t for you then you may wish to try coasteering. It’s the perfect tourist plan for those of us who want more than just strolling along a beach. You can explore bogs, coves and crags in remote areas as well as swim in the surf.
Mountain boarding uses all-terrain boards much like body boards are used in the ocean. They go on sand, turf, dirt and roads. The activity is becoming widely popular among extreme sports enthusiasts. Cornwall offers the diverse landscape that mountain boarding really needs in order to flourish.
Your feet are firmly planted upon a surfboard as a “power kite” is let go and you are launched across the ocean by the power of the wind. It’s a fusion of windsurfing, surfing and wake boarding. One you’ve mastered kite surfing you will never want to stop as it is a fun, exciting and thrilling activity.
If you are more into relaxed vacations and these activities seem a bit extreme for you don’t worry as we’ve got plenty of things to keep you extremely busy. We offer some of the best waters for surfing and wake boarding and the terrain is just splendid for either a leisurely ride on a bicycle or a more extreme version of downhill or mountain bike racing. We also offer great, steady waters for sailing if you want to rent a sciff for fishing or a yacht for a party we’ve got that too! If you love and enjoy wild life and wish to explore on your own you can stroll along the white sandy beaches or through many of the trails we offer here. You can also hop on the back of a horse and go for a strut or a run.
No matter your tastes or the length of your stay I’m sure we have something that will keep you occupied and wanting to come back year after year.
